Honor A Teacher

Let the teachers, principals, coaches, aides, or other adults in your child’s life know how much you appreciate their hard work and their passion for teaching by giving a gift in their name. We will notify the teacher/s you designate (but not disclose the amount).  We know they will be honored by your special recognition!

Donate online:

Look for the box titled "MY DONATION IS IN HONOR/MEMORY OF" on the PayPal "review your donation" page.

There is no limit to the number of teachers you can honor, or the length of your acknowledgement. If you need more space than what is allowed on PayPal, contact us at BEF by email or by phone at 617-232-3846.

or Mail Your Donation:

Look for the BEF Honor A Teacher card that will arrive at your home address, complete the information, and mail it back to us. Students in pre-school through 3rd grade will also receive flyers in their backpacks which contain a mail-in tear-off form. Or, you may call us at 617-232-3846 and complete the transaction over the phone.

Why Honor a Teacher?

"The BEF’s support of teachers is one of the strongest declarations that teachers are truly valued in the Brookline Public Schools. I am honored to be a member of this fine community." - 7/8 Language Arts teacher

Passionate, knowledgeable, skillful teachers help all students achieve their full potential. Thanks to donors like you, the BEF was able to fund programs and grants totaling more than $250,000 in the 2018-19 school year, including:

  • Two kindergarten teachers travelling to Finland to learn about the Finnish education system and share methods and strategies with colleagues when they return
  • Educators across grade levels and subject areas are going to workshops and conferences to learn best practices to share with their colleagues on subjects such as speeach and language pathology, teaching Latin, and special education lteaching strategies
  • Students, K-12, are creating and performing, with world-renowned composer, Jim Papoulis, new pieces of music, which will become part of the curriculum and repertoire of the Brookline schools

With your help, we hope to fund even more in the 2018-19 school year.
